Dilution

At this stage the whisky, gin or vodka is reduced in strength with reverse osmosis (RO) water to the desired bottling strength, which can be as low as 40% ABV.

Stages of Filtration & Water Treatment

RO quality water

Water is produced using reverse osmosis membranes to separate the majority of salts and ions from the feed water and sending the salts and ions to waste or re-circulation. This is used to 'cut or proof' to ABV lebels.
